Recipe: Pan Fried Pork Chops

Brats Pan Fried Pork Chops 


Directions: 


Rinse and Pat the chops dry with paper towels, then....

  • Combine the garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and cayenne in a bowl.
  • Place the flour in a shallow bowl. 
  • Season both sides of the chops with the spice mixture
  • dredge the chops in the flour and Transfer to a plate and let rest for 10 minutes.
  • Do Not throw out flour...
  • Meanwhile, cook the bacon strips in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until the fat renders and the bacon is crisp, about 6-8 minutes. 
  • Transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate and reserve and chop for another use. (if having mashed potatoes with the pork chops, serve with sour cream, and sprinkle on the cooked bacon ) 
  • Do NOT clean out the pan!
  • Add the oil and butter to the bacon grease in the pan and heat over medium-high heat until hot. 
  • Return the chops to the flour dish and turn to coat both sides. 
  • Cook the chops until well browned, 3 to 4 minutes per side.
  • Serve with Bacon Mashed Potatoes and Salad and Enjoy!
