Brats Pan Fried Pork Chops
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2teaspoon paprika
- 1⁄2teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄4teaspoon cayenne
- 1 cup flour
- 4 bone-in pork chops
- 4 slices bacon
- 1⁄4 peanut oil
- 2 Tbsp Butter
Directions:
Rinse and Pat the chops dry with paper towels, then....
- Combine the garlic powder, paprika, salt, pepper, and cayenne in a bowl.
- Place the flour in a shallow bowl.
- Season both sides of the chops with the spice mixture
- dredge the chops in the flour and Transfer to a plate and let rest for 10 minutes.
- Do Not throw out flour...
- Meanwhile, cook the bacon strips in a large nonstick skillet over medium heat until the fat renders and the bacon is crisp, about 6-8 minutes.
- Transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate and reserve and chop for another use. (if having mashed potatoes with the pork chops, serve with sour cream, and sprinkle on the cooked bacon )
- Do NOT clean out the pan!
- Add the oil and butter to the bacon grease in the pan and heat over medium-high heat until hot.
- Return the chops to the flour dish and turn to coat both sides.
- Cook the chops until well browned, 3 to 4 minutes per side.
- Serve with Bacon Mashed Potatoes and Salad and Enjoy!
