Emily's stay at the Children's Hospital

Emily had an unfortunate incident this week. She had a dentist appointment for a filling, everything went well and she was a little sleepy in the car so she took a nap on the ride home. Her cheek and lip were a little poofy, she was so cute I couldn't help but take a picture! After her 45 minute nap on the ride home we sat down for dinner and complained of her lip being really sore, it was swelling but explained it must have been from the Novocaine wearing off. A few minutes passed and she told her daddy it felt like her lip was going to explode! Her lip had doubled in a matter of minutes. After a quick discussion with the emergency RN from the Drs office, I decided to take her to the ER. They found some respiratory distress and swelling in her throat, and at this point her lip had almost tripled in size. They believed she was having an anaphylactic reaction... To what? Good question?!? They admitted her for over night observation. She was such a trooper! Never complained, and was so very brave through everything! Thank heavens for my Seester Amy, she was able to help watch Bella for the night and next day so that Michael could come for a visit and still make it to work! Thank you again so much for all your love and support we appreciate you! She was a little sore for a few days because of her lip splitting from the swelling, but she had a full recovery and is doing well! Because of the severity of her allergies and now, having reactions to unknown allergens, we are keeping Epi-Pen Jr's around at all times at the Dr's request. Better safe than sorry. We are so glad are beautiful big girl is doing just fine, and got her Kissin' lips back! We are sending smooches from us all, a few extra from Emily since her lip is feeling better! XoxoX
