Emilys first Big Girl Sleep Over :)

So, Last night we had some new friends over for dinner, it was a great time that ended by being the start to a new chapter in our life! It was the first time that Emily has ever had a (non-relative) friend sleep over, under no other circumstances than they just wanted to have a sleepover! They had a blast enjoying a mud bath, chicken chasing, and a bunch of girl stuff! And I must say we had a blast too! We had a very enjoyable evening with Brian Kelly (a friend of Michaels from work), his lovely wife Cassie and their two awesome kids Kaleb and Alaina! We really enjoyed their company, as did the kids! So much so that Emily asked Michael and I if her new BFF could stay! :) Now being that this is our first child in school, and is her very first spring break ...we figured why not! Then there was a quick, strange yet proud and exciting moment when we realized, our little girl is growing up! Sad but exciting...This is the start of her social life, possibly creating life long bonds! After moving out of state and distance making friendships long distance, it changes things! It changes your relationships, your life, your family, and in our situation we were blessed that our decision has changed our and our children's lives for the better! However, I'm not going to lie... for both kids and adults it's kind of weird making new friends in a new place. But its super cool when you can meet people that you share common interests with, are all around like minded, your families get along well and nothing is awkward when you're together...it's just fun!!! I believe this could be the beginning of a beautiful friendship...for everyone! :) I Want to express our thanks again for sharing a beautiful evening with us we enjoyed great food and great company we can't wait to do it with you guys again PS Cassie your dip was amazing, :) love it!
